Audition Information
SIGNATURE PRODUCTIONS and SUPER SUMMER THEATRE 2008 announce auditions for ELTON JOHN AND TIM RICE'S AIDA, an epic tale of romance, betrayal and courage that stands the test of time. AIDA will be directed by Steve Huntsman with musical direction by Shauna Oblad and choreography by Keith Dotson.
AIDA will be presented by SIGNATURE PRODUCTIONS for SUPER SUMMER THEATRE as part of their 2008 Season. AIDA will be performed at the SPRING MOUNTAIN RANCH STATE PARK in AUGUST.
OPEN CASTING CALL
TUESDAY APRIL 1 and WEDNESDAY APRIL 2 from 7:30 PM to 9:30PM.
SATURDAY APRIL 5 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.
DANCE CALL - SATURDAY APRIL 5 beginning at 3:30PM (PLEASE COME DRESSED FOR MOVEMENT)
***IF YOU ARE A DANCER WHO DOES NOT SING, FEEL FREE TO ATTEND THE DANCE CALL ONLY!
***IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING ON SATURDAY YOU MAY BE ASKED TO STAY FOR THE DANCE CALL.
CALLBACKS - SATURDAY APRIL 19TH - BY INVITATION ONLY
All auditions will be conducted at the NEVADA BALLET THEATRE located at 1651 INNER CIRCLE DR.
ALL ROLES ARE AVAILABLE
All actors, singers, dancers, and performers are encouraged to audition. The show includes roles for performers ages 16 - 50.
Principle/ Supporting roles (5 men/ 3 women) ages 20's - 50's. Singing/ Dancing Ensemble (10-15 men and women) ages 16 - 50.
This show will be cast without regard to race or ethnic background; non traditional casting will be considered.
Auditions will consist of a prepared vocal selection and a cold reading from the script. Your vocal selection should be something from AIDA or another rock, pop or gospel styled show. If your selection is from a production other than AIDA, please be sure to bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. Tapes or tracks will not be accommodated in the auditions. Your vocal selection should be 20 TO 32 BARS ONLY . Please bring a HEADSHOT AND RESUME and ALL CALENDER CONFLICTS YOU MAY HAVE THROUGHOUT THE REHEARSAL/PERFORMANCE PROCESS. YOU MAY BE ASKED TO SING OR LEARN ADDITIONAL MATERIAL.
There are no plans to offer any equity contracts at this time; however, we encourage all interested persons to attend the audition.
